We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Science Lead to join our team of experts. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge machine learning and data analytics solutions for our industry-leading map.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team to design, build, and deploy scalable Big Data infrastructure and machine learning solutions for global-scale digital map-making. You will work closely with researchers, developers, architects, and IT professionals to deliver high-quality applications in multiple environments.

">Responsibilities">
  1. Design and Build Automation: Develop process automation for HERE Core Map processes using Big Data infrastructure and machine learning for global-scale digital map-making.
  2. Analytical Modeling: Develop and test analytical models to improve internal data-driven processes for map mapping decisions and system control needs.
  3. Data Mining and Machine Learning: Act as an expert in data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis, driving the development of innovative solutions.
  4. Predictive Modeling: Lead predictive modeling or application teams on Core Map projects, ensuring effective collaboration and project delivery.

Requirements">

  • Education: MS or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics, with emphasis on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
  • Experience: 7+ years of related professional experience.
  • Expertise: Expert-level knowledge in one or more areas of data mining and analytic methods, including regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis packages (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, SAS) and associated scripting languages.
  • Big Data Tools: Experience with big data tools like Pig, Hive, Hadoop, and Spark for data extraction and preparation.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders to explain predictive systems and techniques.
