Job Summary

The role of a Business Development Officer involves handling administrative matters for client companies, maintaining and developing relationships with clients, and ensuring the financial standing of client teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing corporate and commercial agreements, documents, and legal manuals, as well as coordinating and executing legal and administrative activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate documents, such as directors' and members' resolutions, powers of attorney, and other legal documents.

  • Participate in the incorporation and termination processes of companies.

  • Provide fee quotations for services to clients and charge fees accordingly.

  • Monitor productivity and chargeability on a weekly basis and review performance against targets.

  • Ensure that all information in client files is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Manage companies and ensure that management agreements are available in client files.

  • Work closely with managers to maintain client databases and ensure they are updated and accurate.

  • Develop and update legal manuals and procedures.

  • Prepare monthly reports for management teams and work on assigned projects.

  • Offer advice and knowledge to colleagues.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Law or Economics, or qualified company secretary.

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in legal and corporate management services.

  • Strong commercial mindset, takes initiative, positive, proactive, dedicated, focused, and revenue-driven.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Excellent client-facing skills, with well-developed spoken and written communication skills.

  • Excellent English language fluency, with additional languages preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution-driven, highly organized, and detail-oriented.

  • Independent, hands-on, and accountable for delivering solutions and results.

  • Ability to adapt and work in a dynamic team environment.

  • Proven leadership and team player skills.
