US Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to handle end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for US-based clients.

This role involves handling day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple US clients, recording journal entries, general ledger adjustments, and ensuring timely posting of transactions. Additionally, you will maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per US GAAP, perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company balances, and support preparation of management reports and financial dashboards for clients.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US GAAP, QuickBooks, and international accounting practices, along with prior experience in working with US clients in an outsourcing setup. You should also be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software, and have advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.

You will work closely with US-based clients to understand their accounting needs, provide timely updates, reports, and financial insights, and handle queries and resolve issues related to accounting, reporting, or compliance. In addition, you will contribute to process improvements and standardization of accounting practices and support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Master's degree in Commerce, CA Inter, CPA (US), ACCA, or equivalent qualification is required. 2–4 years of experience in US Accounting / Outsourcing / KPO industry is preferred. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are essential to interact with US clients. Flexibility to work night shifts aligned with US business hours is a plus.

About the Role

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for multiple US clients.

  • Assist with US tax filings, sales tax returns, and payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and client-specific requirements.
  • Liaise with external tax consultants and auditors when required.
