We are seeking an experienced Monitoring Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

This role involves performing real-time monitoring of servers, network devices, applications, and services using industry-leading monitoring tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, acknowledging, and logging alerts, events, and anomalies, as well as escalating incidents to the appropriate support teams based on defined procedures and severity levels.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, networks, and applications, as well as hands-on experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) are essential.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to work 24/7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Key Responsibilities:
  • Real-Time Monitoring: Perform real-time monitoring of servers, network devices, applications, and services using industry-leading monitoring tools.
  • Incident Management: Identify, acknowledge, and log alerts, events, and anomalies, as well as escalate incidents to the appropriate support teams based on defined procedures and severity levels.
  • Ticket Management: Track and update incident tickets in ITSM tools, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of issues.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with on-call engineers and shift leads for follow-ups or escalations, providing clear and concise updates on incident status.
Mandatory Skills:
  • IT Infrastructure Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, networks, and applications.
  • Monitoring Tools Expertise: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to follow SOPs.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work 24/7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Qualification:
  • ITIL Process Exposure: Exposure to ITIL process, including incident, event, change, and service request management.
  • Certification: Certification in basic IT/networking (CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, CCNA IS A PLUS).
