We are seeking a skilled Design Transfer Specialist to join our team in the medical devices industry. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to ensure seamless product launches.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in process development, validation, and qualification protocols. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-effective manufacturing concepts.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance and support to the manufacturing floor, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Support the launch of new products by participating in FMEA, part and tool design reviews, Kaisen, and other team events.
  • Execute validation and qualification protocols for new products, equipment, and processes.
  • Develop and implement lean methodologies to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineers to develop processes that meet customer expectations on cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Document lessons learned and report project status in a timely manner.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in plastic processing or a related field.
  • Experience in extrusion, molding, or assembly process design.
  • Familiarity with Autocad or other design software.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of integrity and a can-do attitude.
