Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Job Description:

Our organization is seeking a highly experienced and skilled senior data engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, data engineering, and integration projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or data integration projects.
  • Expertise in data warehousing concepts, strategies, and tools.
  • Strong SQL background and knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL.

The selected candidate will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to translate business information needs into well-defined data requirements. They will leverage transactional information, data from ERP, CRM, HRIS applications to model, extract, and transform into reporting & analytics.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes.
  2. Design and implement dimensional and fact tables.
  3. Identify and implement data transformation/cleansing requirements.
  4. Develop a highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance data processing pipeline to extract, transform, and load data from various systems to the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  5. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models with associated metadata including data lineage and technical data definitions.

The ideal candidate will be a highly proficient problem-solver with excellent organizational skills, able to work with large volumes of business data and possess a strong understanding of database design and implementation.
