Senior Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines.

About the Job

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and scaling our data infrastructure. This includes designing and implementing new data pipelines, optimizing existing ones, and ensuring data quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and Athena.
  • Optimize existing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  • Maintain high-quality data by ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7-9 years of IT experience with a strong focus on data engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS services, including Lambda, Glue, and Athena.
  • Associate Level and Professional Level AWS Certification (desirable).
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS Services: S3, EC2, EMR, Serverless, Athena, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions.
  • Cloud Databases: AWS Aurora, Singlestore, RedShift, Snowflake.
  • Big Data: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, YARN.
  • Programming Language: Scala, Python, Shell Scripts, PySpark.
  • Operating System: Any flavor of Linux, Windows.
  • Strong SQL Skills.
  • Orchestration Tools: Apache Airflow.
