Red Hat OpenShift Administrator

As a Red Hat OpenShift administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining highly available OCP clusters. Your goal is to ensure the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure.

The role requires strong knowledge of Linux administration, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), as well as experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

  • Cluster Management: Configure, manage and deploy Red Hat OpenShift clusters
  • Perform regular upgrades and patching of OCP environments
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of OCP clusters
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide L3 support for incidents and problems related to OpenShift
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve platform-related issues
  • Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of OCP clusters
  • Implement best practices for resource allocation and management
  • Conduct capacity planning and scaling of OCP environments
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Manage access controls and authentication mechanisms

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations
  • 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
