Job Title

A key player in our infrastructure operations team, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of our on-premise data centre management and cloud deployments.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive infrastructure strategy to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of existing infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to leverage these systems.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure software, hardware and IT supplies in line with approved management decisions.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Collaborate with senior management and peers to gain acceptance for alternate approaches.
  • Lead outsourced teams in daily operations and activities.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organisational objectives.
  • Perform live disaster recovery activities and periodic drills.
  • Working knowledge of server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux) and network.
  • Production incident management.
  • Regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in infrastructure management, both on-premise datacentre and cloud infrastructure.

Skills Required

  • Program and project management expertise.
  • Planning and executing infra-related projects.
  • Hands-on knowledge of infra such as server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux) and network.
  • Good knowledge and exposure on cloud computing.

Functional Competencies

  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategy.
  • Holistic understanding of all data centre functions (production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management and facilities).
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons and migration consideration.
