Job Title: Chief Compliance Officer

The role of Chief Compliance Officer is to lead our dynamic compliance team. As a seasoned legal professional, you will be responsible for providing compliance advice and support across business functions.

This role oversees all compliance matters including contracts, litigation, regulatory interactions, corporate governance, and strategic advisory to support the Company's growth and mitigate risks.

The selected candidate will head a team of lawyers and work with the Secretary for legal and regulatory compliances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic compliance advice to the Board and senior management on all compliance matters.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with business decisions, structured transactions, deals, and partnerships.
  • Advise on complex compliance issues related to lending, financing, and investment.
  • Support business teams in structuring trade transactions, factoring structures, and securitization deals.
  • Advising on documentation and templates for products and financing.
  • Oversee drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of all legal documents and contracts.
  • Ensure standardization of legal documents and templates.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance best practices.
  • Draft and review board resolutions, minutes, and secretarial documentation.
  • Provide legal inputs during board meetings.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing legal team.
  • Develop internal policies, training, and awareness programs for business units.
Qualifications:
  • LLB or LLM from a reputable university.
  • Company Secretary (CS) qualification is desirable.
  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience with a strong background in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of NBFC regulations, RBI guidelines, corporate laws, and financial frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead legal functions in a dynamic environment.
  • Good product knowledge of loans and financial assistance provided by banks and NBFCs.
