SAP FICO/R2R Implementation Specialist

Our organization is seeking a seasoned SAP FICO/R2R expert to spearhead the execution, optimization, and management of SAP FICO R2R processes. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in configuring General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA), Financial Reporting, and Closing modules within the SAP FICO framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP FICO R2R processes that meet our organizational needs while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, providing functional specifications for custom developments, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Configure and optimize SAP FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, and Bank Accounting.
  • Lead month-end/year-end closing activities, reconciliations, and reporting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions meeting their needs.
  • Integrate FICO with other SAP modules like MM, SD, and PS.
  • Develop comprehensive functional specifications for custom development projects.
  • Support internal/external audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
  • Conduct UAT, provide training, and document end-user information.
  • Offer Level 2/3 support for production issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP FICO with a focus on R2R process implementation.
  • Hands-on configuration expertise in General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA), Financial Reporting, and Closing modules.
  • Experience with New GL, Document Splitting, and Parallel Ledger is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Ability to create and validate functional specifications.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
