Our organization is seeking a Public Policy Lead to spearhead strategic initiatives and foster relationships with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have expertise in navigating the complex landscape of public policy, legislative affairs, and regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, and government stakeholders to advance our organization's policy objectives.
  • Leading advocacy and representation efforts across industry associations, think tanks, and other collective forums to strengthen our position in sectoral policy debates.
  • Identifying new and emerging policy issues and developing well-researched policy positions and recommendations to address them.
  • Engaging with think tanks, civil society organizations, and academia to shape important policy developments.
  • Advising internal teams on the regulatory implications of products and services while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A Master's level degree in Law/Economics/Political Science/Public Policy/Business/International Affairs or a similar field.
  • A minimum 3 to 6 years' experience working with government, think tanks, public interest groups, or in the field of corporate public policy.
  • Strong experience in managing relationships with industry associations and advocacy platforms.
  • The ability to review and evaluate legislation and technical policy documents.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • An understanding of telecom, technology, data privacy frameworks, and laws that impact digital businesses.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team across multiple tasks and locations.
  • An effective prioritization framework to focus on the right problems.
