About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving financial data analysis, investment research, and risk modeling.

  • Conduct data cleaning, wrangling, and pre-processing for financial datasets using Python, Excel, or R.
  • Assist investment teams in equity research, fixed income research, portfolio management, and economic analysis.
  • Apply statistical techniques to financial problems such as credit risk modeling, probability of default, and value-at-risk estimation.
  • Work with big data sources including financial reports, macroeconomic datasets, and alternative investment data.

To be successful in this role, you should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to self-learn and work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project initiatives.
  • Analyze and visualize complex data sets to inform business decisions.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Excel, or R.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Duration and Timing

The internship duration can range from 1 to 6 months, and the timing is self-paced. This is an unpaid internship opportunity.
