Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Director to lead our procurement team and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, sourcing, and materials management, with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet business objectives
Manage a team of procurement professionals to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best-in-class pricing and terms
Analyze market trends and make recommendations to improve procurement processes
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure smooth operations
Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities
Develop and implement training programs to improve procurement skills and knowledge
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement
Collaborate with global supply chain organization to leverage global supplier roadmaps and negotiate regional/site level material purchase contracts
Represent the site in the creation of global supplier roadmap strategies for direct material purchasing and manage local compliance to published supplier roadmaps

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have more than 25 years of work experience in a manufacturing operation with exposure in and/or responsibility for purchasing, sourcing, materials management, and logistics. They will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. They will also have a proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving supplier performance.
