Robotics Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to join our team in designing and developing innovative robotics solutions for agriculture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, AI, and programming, with experience in control systems, sensor fusion, and precision positioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Laser Weeding System Design: Develop high-precision gimbal & motor control systems for real-time laser targeting and implement robust BLDC motor control algorithms with microsecond precision.
  • Sensor Fusion Pipeline Development: Build sensor fusion pipelines combining IMU, GNSS, RTK, odometry, and custom sensors to enable accurate weed detection and precision actuation.
  • Control System Testing and Tuning: Test and tune control systems in real-world field conditions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Multi-Laser Platform Development: Scale work to multi-laser, multi-unit robotic platforms for agriculture and implement safety mechanisms, redundancy, and fail-safe protocols.
Requirements:
  • Control Theory Expertise: Strong knowledge of control theory (PID, adaptive control, state-space) and experience with BLDC motor control and precision positioning systems.
  • Programming Skills: Hands-on programming in C++/Python on embedded systems and experience with ROS/ROS2 and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfort working at the intersection of hardware + software + field testing and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
