Research Position in Cosmetic Formulation

Selected candidates will have a day-to-day responsibility that includes:

  • Conducting solubility studies for active ingredients used in cosmetic applications
  • Preparing cosmetic formulation batches incorporating the active ingredients
  • Monitoring the accelerated thermal stability of actives and formulations
  • Coordinating analyses with the analytical team
  • Documenting findings in comprehensive reports

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A master's degree in chemistry, applied chemistry, or industrial chemistry, or a master's in pharmacy in pharmaceutics
  • A solid understanding of the physicochemical aspects of cosmetic product formulation such as gels, serums, creams, and cleansers
  • Preferably, experience completing a dissertation related to the preparation of cosmetic or pharmaceutical formulations with an active ingredient or drug, focusing on its application or stability profile

You are expected to be:

  • An inquisitive learner with a passion for handling various laboratory equipment
  • A formulator with the skills to design and execute experiments
  • Capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
  • Excellent in communication and presentation skills
  • Possessing strong analytical skills, with academic knowledge in hypothesis building and testing
  • Skilled in problem-solving and capable of thinking critically and analytically
