Job Title: Capital Budget Analyst

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of capital cost estimates, building economics, and contract packages. This role requires strong analytical skills to evaluate tender submissions, negotiate with tenderers, and determine fair and reasonable prices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capital Cost Estimates: Prepare accurate and comprehensive estimates for construction projects, taking into account various factors such as labor costs, materials, and equipment.
  • Building Economics: Provide expert advice on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Contract Packages: Draft and negotiate contract packages, including amendments to standard forms, to protect client interests.
  • Tender Evaluation: Commercially evaluate all tender submissions, negotiate with tenderers, and determine fair and reasonable prices.
  • Cost Management: Develop and implement effective cost management processes, including monthly cost reports, to ensure project budget compliance.
Requirements:
  • Chartered QS under a recognized organization such as the RICS, SCSI, AIQS, or NZIQS.
  • Strong understanding of QS & cost management processes, drawings for quantification, and IT literacy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, problem-solving skills, and ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to coordinate with other staff and departments across global offices located in the US.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree with 5 to 10 years' experience.
  • MS Office proficiency.
