Job Title: Governance Risk Compliance Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with over 2 years of experience in Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), ISO 27001 implementation/audits, and IT audits.

  • Develop and maintain ISMS frameworks based on ISO 27001 standards to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Conduct gap assessments, risk assessments, and internal audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support external ISO 27001 certification and surveillance audits to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Prepare documentation such as policies, procedures, statement of applicability, risk registers, etc. to facilitate decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance and audit findings, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular IT security audits and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Provide expert advisory services on risk management, compliance, and information security best practices to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining governance, risk, and compliance frameworks across various industries.
  • Assisting in the development of policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Providing expertise in risk assessment methodologies, audit lifecycle, and compliance frameworks like NIST, GDPR, SOC 2.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emerging security risks, regulations, and standards to ensure proactive approach to risk management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in GRC, ISO 27001, ISMS, and IT audit.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001 controls, risk assessment methodologies, and audit lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST, GDPR, SOC 2 is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer certification is a strong asset.
  • Experience working with GRC tools (e.g., Archer, MetricStream, or similar).
  • Candidates available to join immediately or within 15 days.
  • Located in Mumbai or willing to relocate.
