Senior Enterprise Architect

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the development of technical roadmaps and architectures that align with our enterprise standards and modernisation priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has experience defining and delivering complex technical solutions, and is passionate about driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Roadmap Development: Define and deliver technical roadmaps and architectures that align with enterprise standards and modernisation priorities.
  2. Technology Enablement: Pave the way for squads to deliver autonomously at pace by removing technology blockers, decoupling applications, and streamlining processes.
  3. Solution Design: Plan, define, and design solutions that ensure sound architectural decisions and enable velocity through tech enablers such as DevOps, containerisation, and API-first design.
  4. Crew Capability Management: Work with chapter leads to define and forecast Crew tech capability requirements and support implementation of practices, tooling, and training provided in the Crew.
  5. Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence and support teams in charge of mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.
  6. Risk Management: Ensure delivery within active management, and mitigation of delivery and delivered risk.
  7. People Leadership: Accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of a number of Technology roles e.g. Software and Systems Engineers.
Tech Skills:
  • A broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks are used; experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team: Sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration.
  • Cloud - AWS large scale data warehouse implementation experience.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes to improve productivity.
  • You will have experience building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript or C#) and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
  • A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and you are a daily user of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, etc.
  • Knowledge of or experience in Anthropic Claude, Llama, LiteLLM, Cursor, windsurf / Codeium, VO Vercel, Continue, Aider, Cline, Langchain, Langgraph, Hugging Face will be highly desirable.
Requirements:
  • 15+ yrs exp.
  • Proficient in agile development methodologies and iterative experimentation from ideation to prototype to pilot to product.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve business-critical problems.
  • Ability to provide technical direction to teams, reviewing designs and code to ensure best practices.
