Overview of Art Director Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and evolve the artistic vision for 3D projects, aligning with project objectives.
  • Lead a team of 3D artists, providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers and developers to synchronize art direction with technical capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain efficient 3D art pipelines and production workflows.
  • Review all art assets to uphold artistic consistency and quality across the project.
  • Generate initial concepts, visual guides, and storyboards to convey artistic intent.
  • Ensure timely completion of all art deliverables.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, animation, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in 3D art production, including 2-3 years in a leadership or senior artist position.
  • Expert proficiency in industry-standard 3D software.
  • Experience with texturing and sculpting tools.
  • Strong understanding of real-time rendering engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Knowledge of technical art fundamentals.

Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and AR/VR platforms is an asset.
