Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive technology leadership in Metro and 5G networks, deployed in some of the world's largest service providers, data centers, enterprise, and metro ethernet networks.

This role will focus on developing platform software in areas such as board bring-up, platform infrastructure, timing software in PTP, SYNCE & Grand Master.

The ideal candidate will have experience in product developments in platform area using JunOS or Junos evolved software architecture.

Collaboration with system and solution test teams is crucial to ensure products/solutions delivered meet the highest quality standards.

Frequent interaction with technical assistance team for supporting critical customer escalations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing platform software in areas of Board bring-up related experience, Platform infrastructure-related software, Timing software in PTP, SYNCE & Grand Master.
  • Product developments in platform area using JunOS or Junos evolved software architecture.
  • Collaboration with system and solution test teams to ensure high-quality products/solutions.
  • Supporting critical customer escalations through collaboration with technical assistance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 7+ years of proven experience.
  • Good understanding of hardware-level details for Optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, Flash Driver.
  • Proficiency with device drivers, system bring-up, FreeBSD/Linux internals.
  • Understanding of Ethernet, OTN, SONET technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in C, C++ programming, OO analysis & design, data structures, system debugging.
  • Prior software development experience on networking products.

Additional Skills:

Candidate should possess strong knowledge of Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Security-First Mindset, Solutions Design, Testing & Automation, User Experience (UX).
