Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and network protocols, with expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop network software products to ensure they operate as defined by requirements
  • Build and optimize network configurations to model well-optimized network reference designs
  • Plan, develop and execute automated and manual test plans to validate network product functionality
  • Collaborate with developers to deliver superior product quality through constructive feedback and issue reporting
  • Review requirements from the Product Management team to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Utilize available network troubleshooting tools, including network packet captures, monitoring devices, log files, and customer input to facilitate effective issue resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Expert knowledge on Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies by either validating or deploying related networking products
  • Hands-on experience with at least one popular Networking Operating Systems such as NXOS, IOS, EOS, JunOS and SONiC
  • Solid understanding of popular clos based Data Center networks architecture such as 3-stage and 5-stage
  • Expert understanding of protocols used in Data Center networks such as VXLAN, and MP-BGP
  • Hands on Python programming skills
  • Good understanding of Linux-based systems and network troubleshooting tools
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in network software development
