Job Title: Concept Artist Intern

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and ambitious individual to join our team as an Intern Concept Artist. As a key member of our art department, you will be responsible for creating concept artwork that brings game worlds to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create quick and detailed drawings and paintings of environments, characters, buildings, vehicles, and props.
  • Collaborate with the producer, art director, and game developer to ensure your artwork meets their expectations.
  • Research industry trends, styles, and genres to stay up-to-date.
  • Respond positively and proactively to feedback from colleagues and superiors.
  • Continuing to develop concepts and designs throughout the production process.
  • Use traditional and technological approaches to create designs in 2D and 3D through drawing and painting.
  • Pitch your ideas clearly to the design team.
  • Adapt and refine your work based on feedback.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues and superiors.
  • Be confident using creative programs such as Photoshop, Painter, SketchUp, and Illustrator.
  • Meet strict deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in fine art preferred.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop is essential.
  • Bold and inspirational under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and drive to succeed.

  • Avid gamer and mobile app enthusiast.
  • Portfolio showcasing interesting, stylized characters and environments.
  • Strong foundation in traditional arts: color theory, figure drawing, traditional 2D animation, illustration, background layout, and/or painting.
