Job Title

As an Interior Cockpit Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the engineering sub system meetings to ensure appropriate cross-functional representation and input from all relevant areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish, plan, and run the engineering sub-system meetings to ensure cross-functional representation.
  2. Ensure progression of design maturity from initial concept through Engineering Sign-Off and design gateways.
  3. Establish and maintain the team work plan aligned to vehicle program.
  4. Ensure Regulatory compliance of system, sub-system, and components.
  5. Define appropriate engineering targets to meet function, quality, and attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program.
Requirements:Education and Qualifications:
  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery in line with time, cost, quality, and attribute targets.
  • Extensive experience in right-first-time development and integration of at least one of the following – Cockpit Console commodities and Interior Trims.
  • Detailed engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ability to manage and challenge system, sub-system, and component costs through utilization of engineering knowledge and decision-making process.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrable ability of communicating with cross-functional teams and influencing at all levels.
  • PC literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, etc.
  • Significant experience in use of engineering tools - FMEA, Agile or Scrum (Six Sigma will be added advantage).
