Accounting Professional Job Description

The position involves working as a remote Accounting Professional to ensure the smooth operation of our accounting functions. This role is crucial in maintaining timely and accurate financial records, efficient accounts payable management, and full compliance with tax and reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, post daily bank transactions, and manage monthly reconciliations in NetSuite.
  • Journal Entries Management: Record accruals, prepaids, and various other balance sheet items.
  • Tax Compliance Support: Monitor and ensure timely filing of Sales/Use Tax returns.
  • Accounts Payable Assistance: Process vendor invoices, credit memos, and 1099s via Bill.com.
  • Financial Systems Maintenance: Use and update tools like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, and CRM platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 2–5 years in general accounting; AP experience is highly desirable.
  • Software proficiency – Familiarity with NetSuite, Bill.com, QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and strong attention to detail.
  • Remote work experience with US clients – A must for this role.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, organized work style.
  • Adaptability to a startup environment – Open to evolving tools and workflows.
