The purpose of the Commercial Data team in Advertising is to develop leading property and market data insights for Real Commercial products.

What We Do

This squad sits in the #1 place for commercial property and data in Australia. We seek an experienced Senior Lead Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys tackling technical challenges, and leads teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or significantly contribute to initiatives with strategic focus and value
  • Solve deep, complex technical problems enabling others to learn and extend
  • Support the Engineering Manager/Tech Lead in setting technical direction
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Drive continuous improvement of production systems and advocate overall system health
  • Work with stakeholders to design high-quality solutions meeting user needs

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams globally, leading the design, development, and optimization of features for high-quality, scalable solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Requirements
  • Well-versed in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with data modeling, data pipelines, data consumption, data analysis, and documentation
  • Advanced skills in designing solutions that scale and perform for millions of users
  • Experience with modern software development techniques
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders

Bonus points for experience with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Python libraries (Pandas, Requests, JSON), Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS, Airflow, and interacting with REST APIs.
