Senior Automated Testing Specialist

This role involves the creation, execution and maintenance of automated tests to ensure software applications meet quality and reliability standards. As part of our development team, you will work closely with colleagues to develop a thorough understanding of project requirements and identify suitable test scenarios for automation.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be proficient in designing and developing automation test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks. Experience in working with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines is also essential. A good communicator, you must be able to effectively convey test results and issues to the development team.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and identify test scenarios suitable for automation.
- Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant automation tools and frameworks.
- Execute automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance and reliability of software applications.
- Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that changes or updates do not introduce new issues.
- Work collaboratively with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing clear and concise information about test results and defects.
- Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (CS, IT, ETC) or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Applications (MCA).
- Proven experience of 4+ years as an Automation Tester or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium or Cucumber.
- Experience in designing and developing automation test scripts using scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python or JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and their implementation.
- Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate test results and issues to the development team.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
