Transforming Energy: Design Engineer

You have the power to shape the world's energy systems. As a mechanical design engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative power transformers that meet the demands of a rapidly changing energy landscape.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of talented engineers and contribute to the development of cutting-edge power transformer technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new transformer designs, ensuring they meet or exceed customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop power transformer tanks, stiffeners, covers, and external components, including coolers, conservators, pipe work, turrets, and external conduit cabling.
- Develop and maintain detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for transformer designs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve design issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and other technical discussions to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in mechanical design or a related field.
- Proven expertise in FEA software, such as ANSYS Pro Mechanical.
- Knowledge of relevant national and international standards for transformers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
