Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Commerce Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support key business needs for our e-commerce application.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support key business needs for our e-commerce application.
  • Design, implement, and test back-end solutions for e-commerce websites.
  • Apply software engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and take appropriate action to remediate issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale architecture change projects in e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing.
  • Proven technical leadership skills with an internal team within a client-facing environment.
  • An understanding of web technologies and an appreciation for capacity and performance design considerations.
  • Essential to have a good understanding of IBM WebSphere Commerce (WC v7 or WC v8)/ HCL Commerce v9 functional and technical architecture including design and development best practice and the associate technologies.

Desirable Skills:

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Previous experience of working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience developing headless WebSphere Commerce/ HCL Commerce solutions.
  • An interest in the ongoing developments of WebSphere Commerce/ HCL Commerce (e.g., xC programming model, JPA).
