Our Accounting Department is Seeking a Remote Accountant to Support Our Financial Operations

  • Our ideal candidate will handle general accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, posting daily bank transactions, and managing monthly reconciliations in NetSuite.
  • They will manage journal entries, recording accruals, prepaids, and various other balance sheet items.
  • Additionally, the remote Accountant will support tax compliance by monitoring and ensuring timely filing of Sales/Use Tax returns.
  • They will also assist accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, credit memos, and 1099s via Bill.com.
  • Maintaining financial systems is another key responsibility, involving using and updating tools like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, and CRM platforms.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 2–5 years of experience in general accounting; AP experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including NetSuite, Bill.com, QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and strong attention to detail are essential.
  • Remote work experience with US clients is mandatory for this position.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, organized work style are required.
  • Adaptability to a startup environment, being open to evolving tools and workflows, is a must.
