Job Title: Category Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Growth & Development:
    • Develop and execute business strategies for key product categories, driving growth through assortment planning, pricing, vendor management, and profitability.
    • Identify market gaps and consumer trends to create differentiated product offerings, enhancing the customer experience.
    • Lead profit-and-loss ownership of the category, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Product Management:
    • Plan product assortments in line with consumer demand, seasonality, and market trends, maintaining a competitive edge.
    • Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to design campaigns, promotions, and seasonal collections, optimizing brand visibility.
    • Maximize pricing, discounting, and promotions to drive profitability and conversion rates.
  • Vendor & Brand Partnerships:
    • Nurture strong vendor/brand relationships, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and supply commitments.
    • Onboard new brands and products aligned with business strategy, ensuring seamless integration.
    • Maintain optimal vendor operations, from procurement to fulfillment, guaranteeing timely delivery and minimal disruptions.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Work closely with supply chain, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
    • Monitor daily sales, stock levels, and category performance metrics, taking corrective actions when necessary.
    • Conduct regular competitive analysis to benchmark pricing, product assortment, and category trends, informing strategic decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with marketing to execute category campaigns and promotions, amplifying brand presence.
    • Collaborate with product & tech teams to enhance category visibility, navigation, and consumer journey, improving user experience.
    • Provide insights to finance on budgets, forecasting, and ROI measurement, ensuring data-driven decision making.
