Job Overview

  • We are seeking an accomplished Cargo Manager to oversee the planning and execution of Over-Dimensional Cargo shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cargo Planning: Develop end-to-end strategies in alignment with customer requirements, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Rate Management: Lead the process of rate quotation and negotiation, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
  • Vessel Coordination: Allocate bookings in the EBMS system and with carriers, collaborating with the planning team to secure space when necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate container allocation, including arranging Empty Container and CSC certificates as per carrier requirements.

Customer Communication

  • Ensure customers receive updated vessel schedules based on cargo readiness.
  • Drive efficient communication with customers regarding container pickup status, required documentation, and compliance with List & VGM cut-offs.

Operational Oversight

  • Validate and approve any dimension changes, liaising with pricing teams for revised rate approvals.
  • Monitor key performance metrics across planning, execution, and customer service functions.

Process Optimization

  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Post-Shipment Coordination

  • Ensure timely ON-BOARD confirmation is shared with customers.
