Job Opportunity: Senior Associate

The role involves providing operational support and services to the General Counsel function. As part of an expanding vertical within GC Shared Services, you will work closely with stakeholders from KYC and compliance teams across different global entities to deliver desired business outcomes.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day KYC team operations, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Conducting periodic reviews and updates of KYC policies and procedures to address regulatory changes and emerging risks.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the compliance framework for regulated activities.
  • Ensuring the delivery of regular compliance audits and timely regulatory submissions.
  • Preparing and distributing compliance reports, including Errors, Complaints & Breaches logs.
  • Supporting AML/KYC procedures and overseeing new business acceptance processes.
  • Preparing and presenting reports at Board Meetings as required.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in KYC processes.
  • Establishing best practices and standard operating procedures for KYC that comply with industry standards.
  • Managing KYC requests, acting as a liaison between external organisations and internal stakeholders.
  • Providing support for business, operational, and regulatory change projects.
  • Maintaining and managing stakeholder relationships, including global Company Secretaries.
  • Ensuring adherence to the FIL Code of Ethics.
  • Managing and prioritising requests received via the team mailbox.
  • Developing and delivering regular reports containing KYC statistics.
  • Assisting in streamlining existing processes and supporting ongoing projects and system enhancements.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business, law or a related field.
  • A master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in KYC compliance within the financial services industry with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience or knowledge in General Counsel functions, Risk/Compliance, and AML/KYC regulations is advantageous.
