Plant Quality Head (LV Panels)

About the Role

This position is responsible for leading a team of quality professionals, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest standards of product reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Management System Development: Develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives.">
• Process Oversight: Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final product testing.">
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.">
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, BIS) and customer-specific requirements for LV electrical panels.">
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.">
• Testing and Validation: Oversee testing procedures, including dielectric tests, temperature rise tests, and short-circuit withstand tests, to ensure product reliability and safety.">
• Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications and conduct supplier audits as needed.">
• Customer Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer queries, complaints, and audits.">
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and present quality performance metrics to senior management.">
• Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate them.">
• Training and Development: Conduct training programs for employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices.">

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE) is a plus.">
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.">
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LV electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards (e.g., IEC 61439, UL 508A).">
• Skills:">
• Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).">
• Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and root cause analysis.">
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.">
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.">
• Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.">
• Certifications: Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards is highly desirable.">
