Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to deliver expert-level support for our network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, and security measures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support for networking infrastructure, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Implementing and maintaining remote access solutions, such as IPSEC VPN.
  • Ensuring the understanding and application of DNS/DHCP principles.
  • Collaborating with vendors to resolve client issues.
  • Utilizing Command Line Interfaces to manage computer equipment.
  • Offering IT support for technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.

The successful candidate will respond promptly to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from our monitoring system and/or customer requests.

Maintaining accurate time and records in all service tickets is essential.

System configuration information should be accurately documented within our ticketing system and attached to relevant tickets.

Effective communication with customers regarding ticket progress, changes, or agreed-outage notifications is crucial.

Service requests requiring engineer-level support should be evaluated in a timely manner to prevent breach of SLA.

Collaboration with team members to implement and improve best practices is expected.

Central management tools should be utilized to resolve customer issues with minimal customer impact.

Onboarding new clients and documenting their information in our systems is also necessary.
