High-Performance Computing Administrator

We seek an experienced administrator to manage HPC and VDI clusters, user accounts, AMI images, and Linux operating systems.

  • HPC cluster administration
  • User account management for HPC onboarding and offboarding
  • Creation and maintenance of AMI images in AMI accounts
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems on HPC clusters
  • Support for HPC components and native services by coordinating with respective providers
  • AWS Managed Active Directory support and management
  • Continuous upgrades to the HPC platform and related components
  • Implementation and maintenance of necessary compliance controls
  • Co-ordination with other teams for testing and migrating applications
  • Job scheduler management such as Slurm or LSF
  • Node provisioning using tools like Werewolf
  • Troubleshooting system issues and providing technical support
  • Monitoring system performance for optimal operation of the HPC environment
  • Integration of new technologies into the existing infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Progressive experience in HPC system administration in a Redhat/CentOS Linux environment
  • Experience with AWS Cloud formation templates to build infrastructure for HPC and storage Amazon FSx for Netapp and Lustre
