Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and update laboratory facilities across different sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various test solutions and equipment, ensuring they are up-to-date with calibration and certification requirements.

The Electronic Test team works on electronic test activities for avionics engineering programs. The Senior Laboratory Engineer will collaborate with different teams across Aero to review and update electrical and mechanical needs for test setups according to product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in using different lab instruments and tools like DMMs, Analyzers, etc.
  • Strong work experience in cable harness fabrication (crimping & Soldering) as per industry standards.
  • Detailed knowledge of power types used across labs (AC & DC).
  • Plan the lab layout for various test benches and explore opportunities for lab space optimization.
  • Plan electrical and Mechanical requirements of different labs across HTS sites and support deployment of test benches in labs.
  • Cable fabrication, Soldering, Lab Equipment Handling, ESD in labs, and good understanding of IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Electrical and mechanical integration knowledge.
  • Proactively connect with users and collaborate with product teams to understand overall test solution needs.
  • Effectively map the competitive landscape, benchmark design and technology trends.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of industry experience in lab management with hands-on experience in equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Diploma or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience dealing with different teams across organizations for coordination of lab upgrades and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of different kinds of cable harnesses and connectors (DSUB, Circular).
  • Good understanding of lab equipment, their functions, and input requirements.
  • Good understanding of lab electrical, Mechanical, and cooling requirements.
  • Go-getter attitude and ability to navigate complex, abstract, and dynamic business scenarios.
  • Good understanding of AC and DC power supply systems.
  • Prior hands-on experience with test solutions.
