Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled technical specialist to provide remote technical and application problem resolution assistance related to computer systems and software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex systems and software. They will also respond to situations where end users have failed to isolate or resolve problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Gather knowledge of customers' technical and business environments.
  • Document and verify reported issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems utilizing available tools, resources, and documentation.
  • Engage additional support when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with management, peers, and account teams.
  • Develop expertise in key technologies.

Ideal Skills:

  • Familiarity with PCs, networks, operating systems, cloud environments, databases, telephony, and software applications.
  • Able to quickly learn complex software tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and enhance customer relationships.
  • Ability to apply professional concepts and company policies to solve routine problems.
  • Ability to develop solutions to problems of limited scope and follow standard practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience supporting customers in a technical environment OR commensurate college-level coursework, or a combination of both.
  • Limited travel, after-hours, or on-call work may be required.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings or late evenings, including weekends.
  • Technical certifications and second or third languages a plus but not required.
