Cybersecurity Operations Leader

As a Cybersecurity Operations leader, you will oversee daily security monitoring and investigation tasks while leading the response to security incidents. This role requires strong technical expertise in managing both local and remote team members.

  • Review proposed changes to firewall rules, router access control lists, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and proxies.
  • Audit deployed rulesets to identify deviations from baseline configurations.
  • Perform real-time security monitoring for potential cybersecurity threats.
  • Analyze alerts and coordinate responses with senior analysts.
  • Triage potential security incidents according to established procedures, alert handling protocols, and customer-specific guidelines.
  • Implement continuous improvements on services by identifying and addressing problems, gaps in knowledge, and documenting materials.

Required skills include:

  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, HTTP, DNS, SMTP).
  • Proficiency in network security technologies, including firewalls, network intrusion detection/intrusion prevention solutions, network monitoring tools, switch/router ACLs, network access control solutions, web application firewalls, proxy servers, and secure web gateways.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies.
  • Experience working with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Shell/Bash/Python programming languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Professional experience working with enterprise network solutions.
  • CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or Network+ certification is required.
