Job Overview: The Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead is responsible for overseeing daily SOC operations, guiding analysts and ensuring effective threat detection and response.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise day-to-day operations, including monitoring, incident detection and resolution activities.
  • Incident Management: Investigate, triage and resolve security incidents, coordinating with teams as needed.
  • SIEM Optimization: Configure, tune and maintain SIEM platforms to enhance threat detection and reduce false positives.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide SOC analysts and engineers, providing technical direction and performance feedback.
  • Threat Intelligence Utilization: Integrate and leverage threat intelligence feeds to improve detection rules and incident response strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine SOC processes, playbooks and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent operations.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Generate reports on incident trends and SOC metrics, presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT and security teams to align SOC activities with organizational goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity.
  • Experience:
  • 5-8 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 2-3 years in a SOC environment and 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and incident response processes.
