Marine Construction Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Marine Construction Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing project works with contractors and maintaining project performance goals.
The Marine Construction Expert is responsible for coordinating work efforts and ensuring activities are sequenced according to the project schedule. This role requires strong skills in construction management to accurately evaluate methods and performance across all project elements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Minimum 5-10 years of onsite experience on major projects in any sector (Infrastructure, Real Estate, Power, Steel, or Chemical).
- Involvement in at least 2 significant major projects similar in size and scope as delivered by our organization.
- Postgraduate or graduate degree in an engineering discipline.
- Postgraduate degree/diploma in construction management (preferable).
- Monitor Site Health, Safety, and Environmental Performance: Ensure contractors protect workers at the job site.
- Construction Supervision & Contract Administration: Supervise contractors and their subcontractors for assigned portions of the project.
- Coordinate Design Deliverables: Assist in ensuring efficient construction by coordinating design deliverables.
- Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the point of contact for contractors in the assigned project area.
- Plan and Chair Safety Meetings: Plan and chair project safety meetings, assist with incident investigations, and participate in our safety programs and initiatives.
- Identify, Manage, and Resolve Deficiencies: Communicate issues and non-conformance to the Construction Manager for resolution.
- Assist with Construction Estimating & Scheduling: Support construction estimating, reporting, cost control, measurement verification, and invoice certification for contractor work in the assigned area.
- Lead Bill Certification Process: Oversee the Bill Certification process, measurement of quantities, and resolve scope issues for the assigned construction area.
- Act as Spokesperson in Absence of the Construction Manager: Step in as the administrative spokesperson when the Construction Manager is absent.
- Assist with Proposal and Business Improvement Activities: Help develop and review construction-related information for proposals and other business activities.
- Provide Construction Input for Constructability Plans: Contribute to the development of project constructability plans.
- Track Progress and Costs: Provide input for daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports; track contractor rates for major activities, and work on catch-up plans suited to site conditions.
- Assist in Site Issue Resolution: Help address site issues and implement corrective measures in coordination with the Construction Manager.
- Coordinate Construction and Commissioning: Assist in coordinating between construction and commissioning, ensuring effective handover policies.
- Ensure Safety and Quality Plans Are Implemented: Enforce project safety and quality plans to ensure strict compliance.
- Provide Inputs for Planning and Billing: Contribute to planning and billing activities for the project.
