Project Estimation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Project Estimation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project estimation team, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate accurate project proposals and estimates.

About the Role:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive databases of costing parameters, including raw materials, labor costs, machine productivity rates, and overhead factors.
  • Analyze and evaluate all cost components, including raw materials, labor, subcontracted services, and overheads, to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
  • Manage the complete bid process, including reviewing customer RFQs, generating cost estimates, negotiating pricing, and preparing detailed submissions for potential projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with additional certifications in project management or sourcing techniques advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project estimation, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment, with expertise in cost analysis, sourcing, and bidding processes.
  • Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided estimation tools, advanced Microsoft Excel, and cost accounting software, as well as engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
