Academic Leadership Opportunity for Product Design

We are seeking an experienced academic leader to join our product design department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design and possess exceptional leadership skills to oversee the academic department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement academic programs for product design that align with our institution's mission and vision.
  • Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and stays relevant.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
  • Oversee student recruitment efforts, working closely with the career advancement service team.
  • Plan department resources effectively.
  • Bring industry experts for various academic engagements like master classes, conferences/symposiums, and design festivals.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements such as UGC and NAAC.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Industrial Design.
  • Total 15+ years of experience with minimum of 5 years experience in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of Industrial Design.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
