Job Title: Senior Apigee Architect

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership role that oversees the entire lifecycle of Apigee migrations, from discovery and design to delivery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding project teams, driving project management initiatives, and ensuring seamless execution of API projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise in Apigee platforms to lead comprehensive migration projects tailored to client needs and business objectives.
  • Drive project teams towards successful outcomes by providing expert guidance and support throughout the delivery phase.
  • Engage with clients to identify potential obstacles, explore future sales opportunities, and propose strategic solutions.
  • Provide expert consultation to clients by leveraging extensive knowledge of industry standards and proprietary content to deliver valuable insights and support.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, actively supporting and coordinating teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Accurately estimate and size projects and deliverables, contributing to project planning and resource allocation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Apigee platform form factors, including differences in management APIs, proxy design, and organization and environment structure.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing at least one of Apigee X or Hybrid as well as at least one of Apigee OPDK or Edge Cloud.
  • Deep understanding of Apigee components, including Cassandra, nginx routers, Apigee ingress, Kubernetes engine offerings across all clouds.
  • Familiarity with API security (particularly OAuth) and secure API development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in client-facing consulting ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment, working to milestones with limited definition.
  • Ability to operate flexibly, adjusting requirements and perspectives to adapt quickly to changing requirements and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by consensus, evangelization, and example.
