The primary goal of this position is to support the security sustainment engineering team to maintain established security measures that protect Procore's systems and data. As a Staff Engineer, Security Sustainment, you'll partner with various teams across Procore, including software engineering, IT, and compliance, to manage and enhance our existing security infrastructure.

This is a chance to make a significant impact in a company that values the safety and integrity of its data. You'll use your expertise in cybersecurity and DevOps to ensure that our systems remain secure and up-to-date.

This position reports into the Manager, Security Sustainment Engineering and will be based out of our India offices. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with security engineering teams to understand their sustainment needs and offload repeatable work
  • Regularly review of infrastructure to keep it up-to-date with existing security protocols and standards
  • Develop and report on key security sustainment metrics
  • Stay updated on latest security threats and technologies and recommend necessary changes
  • Be a part of promoting a culture of security awareness within the company

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in security engineering
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • CISM or CISSP certification is a plus
  • Personal characteristics: Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player
