We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplier development.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct supplier qualification and development for Large Steel Fabrication commodity
- Daily experience with Power Generation Core Engine parts with high technical and quality level
- Address non-conformance by conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures risk mitigation measures
- Work and network in a multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally
The successful candidate will make a significant impact by:
- Ssupporting the multi-functional supplier selection team with quality data and conducting supplier capability, capacity, quality audit, and supplier risk assessment
- Leading multi-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) according to applicable process descriptions and standards
- Implementing Supplier Quality Management Process procedures, guidelines, and tools; coaching suppliers to follow Siemens Energy Quality Management Process and usage of related tools; and conducting regular Supplier Audits
- Initiating and implementing supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis, and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measurements at the supplier
- Supporting Global Supplier Quality team and being a local point of contact in improving large steel fabrication suppliers and supporting critical technical issues
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 10 years of demonstrated ability performing supplier qualification, product/process qualification, technical supplier development, and providing a global, demand covering, quality assured, and cost-effective supply base for responsible suppliers
- Experience in leading projects and running virtual multi-functional teams in an international environment; self-starter, determined, and self-reliant; organization, strategic, analytical thinking, leadership skills, and intercultural expertise
- Extensive knowledge in welding and coating; CWI certification preferred; NACE (AMPP/FROSIO) certification preferred
- Knowledge of ISO ASME Standards
- Open-minded, result-oriented, and strong analytical thinking; advanced Communication/Presentation skills; basic Commercial Knowledge
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality risk management methodologies
- Project Management Experience preferred
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of time; must have or be able to obtain a passport
- Lead Auditor experience or certification
- Fluency (writing and speaking) in English and Indian
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in a technical field and/or working in Supply Chain
