Supply Chain Planning Specialist

To succeed in this role, you must be able to plan and maintain daily supply chain operations across various functional areas. This involves ensuring that internal and external customer expectations and requirements are met.

This job requires a combination of planning system strategy development, monitoring, and adjustment, as well as using common processes, tools, and information systems. You will also need to analyze and interpret key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.

The daily operational planning process is critical in this role, and you must be able to execute it within a specified functional area. Additionally, you will need to identify potential supply chain failures and mitigate associated risks.

You will work closely with stakeholders - both internal and external - to develop short-term tactical improvements. The goal is to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Materials Planning System Utilization: Manage supply and demand plans using the materials planning system. Take long-term corrective action on exception messages and alerts based on root cause analysis.
  • Part Change Control Management: Evaluate and implement engineering change requests to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Use PFEP in planning, designing, and managing systems and processes within a facility to ensure smooth operations.
  • Master Supply Scheduling: Establish and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule for a family of products, meeting customer expectations and requirements while maximizing operational efficiency.
