Job Title: Revenue Recognition Senior Associate

The Revenue Recognition Senior Associate plays a pivotal role in the revenue recognition team. This key member ensures that revenue recognition adheres to applicable accounting standards, facilitating accurate financial reporting and compliance.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to guarantee revenue recognition aligns with relevant accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts.
  • Support quarterly and annual external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
  • Establish and maintain relationships within the organization, including Operations, General Ledger Accounting, IT, and other departments.
  • Perform ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Take ownership of special projects assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in revenue accounting.
  • Public accounting, professional services, or IT industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Workday are preferred.
