Cloud Data Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to build and maintain robust data pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and experience working with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing scalable data lakes using AWS S3 and related services, as well as collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to ensure data quality and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETL pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and availability.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data transformation.
  • Use Git for version control and code collaboration.
  • Manage and scale data lakes using AWS S3 and related services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL.
  • Proficient in Git and AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • AWS certifications in data engineering are a plus.
