Chief Cloud Data Architect

Job Overview:

A key position has opened up for a Cloud Data Architect with extensive knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud.

This role is ideal for a skilled professional looking to spearhead the implementation of large-scale data cloud initiatives and guide technical teams in designing scalable architectures.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data modeling, identity resolution, consent management, and profile unification.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Data Cloud Solutions: Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of Salesforce Data Cloud solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
• Develop Unified Customer Profiles: Define data models, ingestion strategies, identity resolution, harmonization, and activation of unified customer profiles.
• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to translate business objectives into actionable data-driven solutions.
• Manage Data Governance and Security: Oversee data governance, security, and compliance across multiple data sources, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
• Integrate with External Platforms: Integrate Salesforce Data Cloud with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau, and external data platforms.
• Provide Guidance on AI/ML Use Cases: Offer expertise on AI/ML use cases, Data Cloud + Agentforce/Data Cloud + Einstein GPT integrations, and provide guidance on leveraging these capabilities.
• Mentor and Lead a Team: Mentor and lead a team of Salesforce professionals including admins, developers, and data engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Define Best Practices: Establish best practices for data ingestion, APIs, connectors, and real-time streaming pipelines, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Align with Overall Data Strategy: Partner with enterprise architecture and data teams to align Data Cloud initiatives with overall data strategy, driving business outcomes.
• Optimize Data Cloud Implementations: Ensure performance tuning, monitoring, and ongoing optimization of Data Cloud implementations, maximizing return on investment.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Salesforce platform experience with at least 3+ years dedicated to Data Cloud/Customer Data Platform (CDP).
• Proven expertise in Salesforce architecture, data integration, and enterprise solution design.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, connectors, and real-time streaming (Kafka, MuleSoft, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, identity resolution, consent management, and profile unification.
• Deep understanding of data governance, compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL, data mapping, and data harmonization techniques.
• Experience integrating Salesforce Data Cloud with AI tools, Data Cloud + Marketing Cloud activation, and personalization journeys.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Salesforce certifications highly preferred:
• Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Application Architect / System Architect
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or related field.
